Vineyards of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties
Morro View
EDNA VALLEY
Morro View vineyard is located southeast of San Luis Obispo County in the Edna Valley AVA. Just 5 miles east of the Pacific Ocean, this coastal valley is often frequented by morning fog followed by cool on-shore winds. The vineyard is named for its breathtaking view of the “Seven Sisters”—a 25 million-year-old chain of volcanic morros stretching northwest from San Luis Obispo to the Pacific Ocean. The vineyard was originally planted in 2009 and includes 4 acres of organically-farmed Grenache. We source clone 362 for our bottling. The vines grow on Tierra Loam soils composed of sandy loam topsoil and clay loam subsoil. The Edna Valley is known for having a long growing season due to the moderate conditions and results in an ideal expression of cool-climate Grenache.
StolpmaN
BALLARD CANYON
Stolpman vineyard sits among the sun-drenched hills of Ballard Canyon, in the Santa Ynez Valley. The 153-acre vineyard is farmed sustainably by Ruben Solorzano. Here we source an Alban clone of Grenache for the Loquita bottling. The vines grow on limestone outcroppings blanketed by a thin layer of sandy-clay and result in a vibrantly aromatic and high-toned expression of Grenache.

ALISOS CANYON
Watch Hill vineyard is a hidden gem located within the Alisos Canyon AVA just outside of Los Alamos. The property is planted with 3 acres of Grenache Noir which grows abundantly on the sunny, south-east facing hillside. The soils are composed of sandy-loam and silt. The vineyard is organically farmed without the use of pesticides or herbicides. We source a clone of Grenache Noir for our single-vineyard bottling.
